“Olive Branch” Extra Virgin Olive Oil is raised without pesticides or sprays and First-Cold-Pressed. This year we are importing the oil directly from the Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee (PARC), a non-governmental, non-profit organization in Ramallah which has been on the forefront of supporting Palestinian agriculture since the 1980’s. PARC buys its olive oil from 85 different small farmer cooperatives in the West Bank. It takes care of testing, quality control, bottling, labeling and marketing. Available in 750ml bottles, by the case (12 bottles), or more. Now more than ever, important to Palestinian farmers. For ordering and other info, please email us at palestinebostonoliveoil@yahoo.com or call Susie at 781-648-6307.
Hello! My name if Jeff Tanzer. I have been distributing 911 Truth material at Harvard Square in Cambridge and other areas on a weekly basis, and I am writing you to invite you to join me. I've been handing out handbills and deception dollars and engaging in spirited conversation with people as they walk by. I would appreciate anyone joining in on this project with me who shares my desire to spread 911 Truth. You would be welcome to join me for a morning's leafleting or to help me plan and carry out other actions to communicate the truth to people about the events of 9/11/01. I have a supply of materials and do not ask for donations. However, If anyone is serious about involvement then I will certainly appreciate you contributing to the materials costs of this project.
I can be emailed at dexterousdigits@yahoo.com , also my phone
contact is 978-741-4921. Please call ONLY between 5:30 & 6pm. I
recommend bringing signs for when we hand out literature, and I
am always open to additional ideas for how to make 911 Truth
more visible. Blogs, computer stuff, etc is nice too, but a face
and our message needs to be presented to the public. As things
get more dangerous in this country we all need to take a little
time and have the courage to put this out for all to see. I
hope you will consider joining me.

Please vote in support of Kevin at the poll on this website and spread the word- don't let the gov't and academia hang Kevin for his support of 9-11 Truth...
MADISON, Wis. -- University of Wisconsin-Madison officials are reviewing the background of a UW-Madison lecturer after a state lawmaker demanded he be fired for his beliefs about Sept. 11, 2001.
Kevin Barrett has a doctorate and lectures on Islamic culture and religion. He is also co-founder of a group that believes some in our government arranged the Sept. 11 attacks.
In some circles, especially academic ones, the debate over what really happened on Sept. 11 continues. The issue now is whether such radical beliefs belong in the college classroom...
[TJR hosts note with frustration that the poll offers no option for those of us who AGREE with Barrett's "radical" belief: "The alternative theory is that they must have at least had some inside help, and more likely that the whole thing was an inside job from start to finish," Barrett said. "By far the strongest hypothesis at this point is that 9/11 was an inside job designed as a war-trigger cover operation … designed to launch a series of wars -- not just one war but a long series of wars."]
Workers at Verizon Wireless (VZW) lack basic workplace rights and receive inadequate health and retirement benefits. When they have tried to organize to fix these problems, VZW has conducted a campaign of illegal firings, threats, intimidation, and worker surveillance and has even shut down Northeast call centers and moved them to "right to work" states.
Pledge not to buy Verizon Wireless, or pledge to switch your cell phone carrier.
For more than a decade, Verizon Wireless has shown total disregard for labor law and the rights of workers to a voice in the workplace and to a fair contract. Workers at VZW who want a union voice have been fired and laid off, harassed and intimidated by supervisors, required to attend "captive audience" meetings and mandatory anti-union training. Call centers that had a growing number of union supporters were shut down between 2000 and 2004, putting 2,000 people out of work in MA, NY, and NJ. Verizon Wireless has refused to abide by the agreement it made with CWA to remain neutral in union organizing efforts in the Northeast and is instead using endless litigation to prevent employees from making use of the agreement. There are numerous complaints of labor law violations pending against Verizon Wireless.
The contrast between Verizon Wireless and Cingular Wireless, which supports full employer neutrality and card check, couldn't be clearer. At Cingular, where there is true neutrality, more than 17,000 workers have joined CWA just since July 2005, when those agreements went into effect at what was AT&T Wireless. It's clear that when fear and intimidation are removed from the workplace, workers choose a union voice. That's what is happening at Cingular and that's exactly what would happen at Verizon Wireless.
Despite its attempt to create a socially responsible image, Starbucks' failure to meaningfully embrace Fair Trade coffee has left coffee farmers and their children teetering on the brink of starvation in the Global South. A new documentary, Black Gold (blackgoldmovie.com), reveals in detail the pained existence of coffee farmers under the purchasing practices of Starbucks and other multinational corporations. In Starbucks cafes, baristas are paid a poverty wage and the company insures a lower percentage of employees than Wal-Mart. Starbucks baristas are organizing a union (starbucksunion.org) with the Industrial Workers of the World for a better life on and off the job. In response, the company has waged a fierce and relentless anti-union campaign that tramples on workers' rights. In this union-busting operation unburdened by the law, Starbucks routinely retaliates against baristas for supporting the union. In addition, Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz recently broke the union of roasting plant employees. If you or your group is interested in getting involved with the campaign on the ground floor please contact IWW organizer and Starbucks barista Daniel Gross at dgross@iww.org or 917-577-1110.
For decades, U.S. strategists-for-hire have been quietly molding the opinions of voters and the messages of candidates in elections around the world. In the first documentary to enter the rooms where strategies and decisions are made, director Rachel Boynton follows a team of U.S. political consultants, including James Carville, as they help Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada become President of Bolivia. With access to think sessions, media training and the making of smear campaigns, we see how their marketing strategies, the same as those used to market McDonald's, shape the relationship between a leader and his people. Winner of the 2005 IDA Best Feature Documentary Award.
Winner of the Best International Documentary 2006 at Tribeca Film Festival In March of 2004, just as the insurgent movement strengthened, several members of one National Guard unit arrived in Iraq carrying digital video cameras. This is the movie they made with director Deborah Scranton and a team of award-winning filmmakers. It's the first war movie filmed by soldiers themselves on the front lines in Iraq. It is edited down from 1000 hours of tape filmed over one year. Funnier, spicier and more wrenching than stories other people might tell about them, like any true story about war, The War Tapes engages the hard, tense, passionate, always difficult and sometimes beautiful way relationships develop and change.
Part documentary, part dramatization, this is the terrifying first-hand account of three British citizens who went to Pakistan for a wedding, but ended up being held for two years without charges in the American military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The three were eventually released, and no formal charges have ever been made against them.. The film's critical stance towards the British and American governments has already engendered significant controversy since its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Director (Michael Winterbottom and Mat Whitecross).

You are cordially invited to view an installation of 50 distinguished works by the late Palestinian cartoonist Naji al- Ali.
Naji al-Ali's bold and illustrative cartoons, widely published over the past 20-30 years, reveal the tragic state of the Middle- East conflict. The artist combined art and political satire like none other; his work sadly still rings true today.
Naji al-Ali draws in simple mesmerizing lines a sincere critique of all sides in the conflict, and the world's complicity in the prolonged occupation of the Palestinians.
Pieces displayed at the installation were graciously provided by the artists' family, specifically for this exhibition.
The artwork will be displayed on an elaborate set representing the Apartheid Wall dividing Israel/Palestine. You are invited to enjoy the exhibit, participate in painting the wall, and interact with pedestrians celebrating freedom & liberty on this Independence Day weekend.
The film "Naji Al-Ali: An Artist with Vision" may be shown outdoors at the installation, pending the weather.

This is the 4th film showing in the SDP documentary film series: "Unveiling Palestine," a hard-hitting, humorous and compelling exploration of a land and its people.
Documentary filmmaker Denis Mueller has combined rare historical footage with present-day news coverage and interviews from respected historians and political analysts to examine the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, in this case, from the perspective of the Palestinians. This film presents a historical view that most Americans are unfamiliar with and that ultimately determines where justice lies (just as it did in apartheid South Africa and in the American South) and makes the current situation so obviously fascist. The film also shows how Bush's rhetoric about honoring UN resolutions is just so much more deceit from the US leadership.
A different movie will play on the first Thursday of each month. Throughout the series, be prepared to laugh, cry and likely be surprised, as we introduce you to a land and people you aren't supposed to understand. Expect a stimulating evening with refreshments & door prizes.
